Pele, the king of football, has died. He was in the hospital for a month after his health deteriorated. He was 82 years old. Pele was moved to palliative care because he did not respond to chemotherapy and drugs. He died at the Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo. Pele was suffering from cancer. Pele was Brazil's top goal scorer and was instrumental in three of their World Cup victories (1958, 1962, and 1970). Pele scored 77 goals in 92 matches for Brazil. This accomplishment came after 92 matches. Pele, who started his football career with Santos at the age of 15, joined the Brazilian national team at the age of 16. Pele, the only player to win three World Cups, was honoured with the honour of FIFA Player of the Century. Pele also holds the Guinness record for the most goals.
