Pele, the king of football, has died. He was in the hospital for a month after his health deteriorated. He was 82 years old. Pele was moved to palliative care because he did not respond to chemotherapy and drugs. He died at the Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo. Pele was suffering from cancer. Pele was Brazil's top goal scorer and was instrumental in three of their World Cup victories (1958, 1962, and 1970). Pele scored 77 goals in 92 matches for Brazil. This accomplishment came after 92 matches. Pele, who started his football career with Santos at the age of 15, joined the Brazilian national team at the age of 16. Pele, the only player to win three World Cups, was honoured with the honour of FIFA Player of the Century. Pele also holds the Guinness record for the most goals. Pele scored 12 goals and 10 assists in 14 World Cups. Edson Arantes do Nascimento Pele was born on October 23, 1940, in a poor family in Sao Paulo. Pele pursued the number 10 jersey in order to make it his sole jersey.After retiring, Pele worked as a football ambassador. Brazilian footballer Neymar has written a heartfelt tribute to Pele's death. "Before Pelé, 10 was just a number. I’ve read this phrase somewhere, at some point in my life. But this sentence, beautiful, is incomplete. I would say before Pelé football was just a sport. Pelé has changed it all. He turned football into art, into entertainment He gave voice to the poor, to the blacks and especially: He gave visibility to Brazil. Soccer and Brazil have raised their status thanks to the King!
