Revanth Reddy resigns as T-Congress Working President
The fires brand leader of Telangana Congress Revanth Reddy has resigned as the Working President for Telangana Congress. After a humiliating defeat in 2018 Assembly Polls for Revanth Reddy from Kodangal constituency, Revanth Reddy bounced back by emerging victorious contesting from Malkajgiri which is the biggest Lok Sabha Segment in the country.
After getting elected as MP, Revanth Reddy decided to resign to the post of Telangana Congress Working President. He submitted his resignation letter to the Congress High Command on Saturday. Speaking to media, Revanth Reddy said: 'Offered My Resignation in the best interest of the party. Even I don't hold any party post, I would strive hard to strengthen Congress by taking inspiration from Rahul Gandhi'.
Now, after the resignation of this firebrand leader, the question is whether Congress has a leader to replace Revanth Reddy in this bad phase? It's tough to find a replacement for a Firebrand Leader irrespective of any party. This is a major set back for Congress in Telangana who are in revival mode after encouraging results in Lok Sabha Polls. Speculations are abuzz that Revanth resigned his post to join BJP.
