‘Suspicious Black Trunk in Modi’s Chopper: Opposition alleges of transporting cash
Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Chitradurga district of Karnataka has now been the subject for speculations as the media caught the glimpses of a mysterious 'Black Box' being transported by Modi’s chopper.
In a media meet on Sunday, Congress spokesperson Anand Sharma demanded the Election Commission to probe into the alleged transportation. Into details, the Karnataka Congress shared the video which shows a mysterious box being unloaded by two men from PM Modi’s helicopter at Chitradurga yesterday and being loaded into a private Innova which quickly sped away.
"We saw there were three more choppers escorting the prime minister's helicopter. After landing, a black trunk was taken out and whisked away in a private car which was not part of the SPG carcade," alleged Anand Sharma. He also challenged Modi to come out clean in this episode and reveal what exactly had the black box.
However, Congress could not verify whether the box was actually unloaded from Modi's chopper or not as there were three choppers at the venue. On the other hand, Chitradurga BJP unit defended the episode saying that black box actually contains election supply material. "These are baseless allegations, and the Congress which is synonymous with corruption should come clean on its own issues," said party spokesperson GVL Narasimha Rao.
