As the country is battling its biggest battle with the second wave of coronavirus, more and more celebrities are coming forward to extend their help. The latest one to join the movement is Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, who have started a fundraiser for the support of COVID-19 affected people. On Friday, the couple posted a video in which they explain their initiative and ask everyone to donate. "Things have been really tough for India as we fight this pandemic and it really pains us to see our country suffer like this", begins Anushka.
"We are grateful to all the people jo din raat fight kar rahe hai humare liye, their dedication is really appreciated," adds Virat. "Par ab unhe zaroorat hai humare support ki aur hume unke sath khade hone ki. And so, Anushka and I have started a fundraiser on Ketto jiske funds jayenge towards covid grants. Aap is initiative ko join kare and donate kare. Every little bit makes a difference. To our family, friends and fans, ye waqt hai aage badhne ka. We will overcome this together. Hum is jang ko bhi jeetenge it we are in it together. Stay safe. Jai Hind," concluded the couple in the video post.
Further explaining about their initiative, they captioned their video as, "Since the Covid-19 outbreak, our country is going through trying times, our health systems are being challenged, we need to come together and help our India. Anushka and I have started a campaign on Ketto, to raise funds for Covid-19 relief, and we would be grateful for your support. No amount is too small to save lives. We will do everything we can to make a difference, but we need your help to fight this.
I urge you all to join our movement. Let’s do our part to keep our country safe and strong. Thank you. Click on the link in my bio to make an impact. #InThisTogether #ActNow #OxygenForEveryone #TogetherWeCan #SocialForGood."
