Palakkad: The Motor Vehicle Department will conduct an investigation into the incident where a woman stopped a speeding bus in Kootanad Chalissery. Palakkad RTO stated that an investigation would be conducted into the incident. Pattambi Joint RTO has been instructed to investigate and take action in this regard. The RTO also informed the employees that they have been asked to be present. Further action will be taken after getting an explanation from the bus staff. The woman stated that she had experienced the same thing three or four times before from "Rajaprabha" buses. Some of the locals also said that the bus used to pass at excessive speed, even on curves. The Motor Vehicle Department has decided to proceed with action if it is proved that there was a mistake on the part of the employees.
This morning, the bus, which was running for its life near Kootanadu, was chased and stopped by a scooter passenger. Sandra, a native of Perumannur near Chalissery, blocked the Rajaprabha bus, which was running on the Palakkad-Gurugayur route. In the morning, Sandra was riding along the road when a bus came from behind and passed by as if it had not been hit. This violation occurred while the bus driver was passing the oncoming truck. Even though she was sure that she would not be able to pass, Sandra had to drop the vehicle into the ditch due to the violence of the driver. Although the vehicle was stopped, Sandra overtook the bus and stopped it after following it for about one and a half kilometers.
