Varisu Box Office Receipts: Vijay Starrer Had An Extraordinary Monday; Tops 125 Crores In India

With a Monday box office haul of about Rs. 23 crore, Varisu has now amassed Rs. 125 crore in India over the course of six days. Even though it's because of the holiday weekend, the movie's Monday figures are identical to its Saturday ones. However, considering that Saturday's numbers were already enormous, repeating them on Monday is an incredible achievement.

The movie made approximately Rs. 16 crores in Tamil Nadu yesterday, bringing its six-day total in the region to Rs. 81 crores. The day after Pongal, which was yesterday, is usually the strongest day for the box office in Tamil Nadu during the Pongal holiday period. The movie has already made Rs. 15 crores in Telugu states and is expected to easily surpass Vijay's previous high there. Karnataka and Kerala also fared well. The final total may be a respectable sum, depending on how well they perform in the second week. These two appeared to be extreme underperformers after the first Thursday and Friday. But the remaining three days saw a positive turnaround.
