Sam Mendes-directed war film '1917', starring George MacKay and Dean-Charles Chapman among others was named the Best Motion Picture-Drama at 77th Golden Globe Awards held on Monday.
The award for Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy went to Quentin Tarantino's directorial 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood'. Sam Mendes also won Best Director award for '1917'.
HBO's 'Succession' won the Golden Globe for Best TV Series - Drama, beating shows including 'The Crown' and 'The Morning Show'. Best TV Series - Musical or Comedy went to 'Fleabag', whose lead actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge also won Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy Series. Olivia Colman won Best Actress in a Drama Series for 'The Crown'.
Leonardo DiCaprio lost out to Taron Egerton in the Best Actor - Musical or Comedy category. Joaquin Phoenix picked up the Best Actor - Drama award for his performance in Joker, while Renée Zellweger won the Best Actress - Drama award for her performance in the biopic, Judy.
