The box office collection of the film was very low on the day of its release. The film grossed Rs 10.70 crore on Friday. As of Sunday, it was Rs 16.10 crore. The film has a gross collection of Rs 39.40 crore.
In Mumbai, the film did not appeal to a large audience. However, the report states that the theaters did not expect anyone to come to see the film. Akshay Kumar's Bachchan Pandey, which was released this year, also failed at the box office. Bachchan Pandey got released along with Kashmir Files.
The movie Samrat Prithviraj was released on June 3. Chandraprakash Dwivedi directs the film Samrat Prithviraj'. 'Samrat Prithviraj' revolves around the life of legendary warrior king Prithviraj Chauhan.
Akshay Kumar plays the role of Prithviraj Chauhan in the film. Samrat Prithviraj is also Manushi Chillar's first film. Manushi plays Prithviraj Chauhan's wife in the film.
Earlier, Many BJP-ruled states had given tax breaks to the film. Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh had given tax exemptions for the film. BJP leaders, including Amit Shah and Yogi Adityanath, had praised the film.
