Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham will be one of the first films to get released when the theaters reopen. It was actually supposed to hit the screens on March 25 but got postponed indefinitely due to the lockdown. Directed by Priyadarshan, this film features Mohanlal in the lead role. Premam director Alphonse Putheran has cut the trailer of this film. This prolific director-editor says that Marakkar Arabikadalinte Simham will be a remarkable film in the Malayalam film industry.
Speaking in a recent interview, Alphonse said that he was mind blown after watching the film. He got awestruck while watching it on the editing table. Alphonse stated that Priyadarshan succeeded in bringing life into this epic film. Apparently, Priyadarshan asked Alphonse to do the trailer cut of this film even before it went on to the sets. Earlier, Alphonse had cut the trailer of Priyadarshan's 2016 film Oppam. Mohanlal was the hero in that film as well. Alphonse Putheran also stated that he is planning to work with Mohanlal. We will get an official confirmation once everything falls in place.
Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham is a period drama that is set up in the 16th century. The film got made on a budget of more than Rs. 100 crores. It is being produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner Aashirwad Cinemas. Suniel Shetty, Arjun Sarja, Keerthy Suresh, Manju Warrier and Pranav Mohanlal are playing the other key roles in the movie. The new release date will get announce once the lockdown of theaters gets lifted.
