Anurag Kashyap is one of the first Indian filmmakers to enter into the digital arena. He has already worked for three Netflix originals. He co-directed Sacred Games Season 1 and 2. He directed one segment in the 2018 film Lust Stories and one segment in the 2020 horror anthology film Ghost Stories. He is now coming up with his solo directorial venture Choked. The trailer of this Netflix film got unveiled a few hours back. The film looks like a gritty satirical drama with a lot of interesting elements.
Going by trailer, the story of the film deals with a middle-class bank employee working in Mumbai. One fine day, she finds money getting leaked from her kitchen sink. All of a sudden, she gets used to a lavish lifestyle and then encounters a major shock. The trailer got filled with dark comedy and a lot of satirical elements. Amruta Subhash and Rajshri Deshpande played the other important roles in the film. Fans are expecting it to be a gritty drama in typical Anurag Kashyap style. Choked will premiere on Netflix on June 5.
This is Kashyap's first collaboration with both Saiyami and Roshan. On the flip side, it is also the first web project of both the lead actors. This is the solo directorial comeback of Anurag Kashyap after the 2018 film Manmarziyaan. As OTT has become the main source of entertainment these days, the makers are expecting the film to get many streams right on the release day.
