August 31 Festival Releases: 'Cobra' Comes Face-To-Face With 'Natchathiram Nagargirathu'

The upcoming movie "Cobra," starring South actor Vikram, will hit theatres on August 11, according to a statement from the producers on Friday. The "Demonte Colony" and "Imaikkaa Nodigal" director and writer R Ajay Gnanamuthu is responsible for the Tamil action thriller. Under the auspices of Seven Screen Studios, S S Lalit Kumar is in charge of producing it. Natchathiram Nagargirathu, Pa Ranjith's sixth feature film, debuts on August 31. The movie explores the politics of love as well as the concept of love. It is possibly the first Tamil film in popular culture to depict queer love. In Natchathiram Nagargirathu are Kalaiyarasan, Kalidas Jayaram, Dushara Vijayan, Hari Krishnan, Vinoth, Subathra Robert, Shabeer Kallarakkal, Regin Rose, Damu, Gnanaprasad, Vinsu Rachel Sam, Arjun Prabhakaran, Uthaiya Surya, Stephen Raj, Sherin Celin Mathew appears in important roles.

Vikram will appear in 25 different appearances for Cobra which has been in making since 2019. The movie also stars former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan as the villain. Chiyaan Vikram, Srinidhi Shetty, Irfan Pathan, K.S. Ravikumar, Roshan Mathew, Anandraj, Robo Shankar, Mia George, Mirnalini Ravi, Meenakshi Govindrajan, and other actors appear in the A.R. Rahman-composed film Cobra.Despite the pandemic, a sizable amount of Cobra was shot in Russia. It is stated as the cause of the film's production delay. Due to the lockdown, the first Russian filming schedule was interrupted midway through, and the crew had to return to complete the unfinished portions. Fans of Vikram are eagerly anticipating the September 30 release of Ponniyin Selvan 1 and the August 31 release of Cobra. Director Pa Ranjith described the movie, 'Natchathiram Nagargirathu' with the statement “Love is Political”. ‘Natchathiram Nagargiradhu’ marks Pa Ranjith’s return to the romance genre after his first movie ‘Attakathi’ which was released in 2012.Through the banners of Neelam Productions and Yaazhi Films, Vignesh Sundaresan, Manoj Leonel Jahson, and Ranjith produced the movie. Music is composed by Tenma, and Cinematography is done by A Kishor Kumar, while editing is done by Selva RK.
