Tahira Kashyap, who's the wife of Ayushmann Khurrana, has made her own name in the Bollywood industry through her talent for writing and filmmaking. Slowly pacing her way into the industry, Tahira wants to change the image of women and the roles they are stereotyped for. In an interview with a leading daily, Tahira says, "I am actually obsessed with women and stories revolving around them. I call myself a feminist who believes in equality."
Adding about her work, Tahira said, "I have also written a lot about protagonists who are men. However, when it comes to stories about women, I feel not enough has been said and written about them. When we hear about stories related to women, we think about tragedies, she is really aggressive or she is out there to protest. We have very stereotypical images and roles for women. I feel they have a whole new side to themselves which is quirky, funny, and humorous, at the same time meaningful. I feel a lot of stories are amiss and which is why I love writing more about them.
Tahira also revealed the names of actors with whom she would like to work with. There are many names but before I get there, I also want to work with some fresh talent in our industry. Some of them have become huge names while some others are still coming up. So I don’t want to limit myself as I want to work with only certain actors. I always wanted to work with Kajol, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, and Anushka Sharma. Even in men, there is Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, " added Tahira.
