Basil Joseph has become the pride of Malayalam cinema by winning the best director award at the Asian Academy Awards held in Singapore. The actor went to receive the award from the set of Tovino's "Ajayante Randaam Moshanam." The crew has now released a video of Basil, congratulating him on his return to the set after the award ceremony. The award is for the movie Minnal Murali. Sixteen countries competed for the award.
Directed by debutant Jitin Lal, "Ajayante Randaam Moshanam" stars Tovino Thomas in the lead role. Basil plays the lead role in the film. The film is being prepared in six languages and will be a pan-Indian film. The shooting of the movie is progressing in Kasargod and Kanhangad. Ajayante Randaam Moshanam is the first movie in which Tovino will play three roles. South Indian actresses Kriti Shetty, Aishwarya Rajesh, and Surabhi Lakshmi are the heroines of the film. The film also has the distinction of being Kriti's first Malayalam film. The film, which is being made entirely in 3D, has a lot of potential for action and adventure.
Apart from Tovino and Basil, Jagadish, Harish Uttaman, Harish Perati, Pramod Shetty, and Rohini are also playing lead roles. In the film, Tovino is portraying the characters of three generations, namely Maniyan, Ajayan, and Kunhikelu. The music is being directed by Dibu Nainan Thomas.
