Bellamkonda Srinivas’s Movie on Stuartpuram Backdrop - Tiger Nageswara Rao Biopic Shelved?

UV Creations planned to bring Stuartpuram thief Tiger Nageswara Rao life alive on screen with a rustic action thriller set out in a 70’s backdrop. It was heard that Bellamkonda Srinivas was in talks to play the infamous thief Tiger Nageswara Rao in this film, which in a way could be considered as a biopic.

The production house even onboarded a director and a writing team to develop a script in this backdrop. But things didn’t go quite smooth and the project appears to be shelved for good. Bellamkonda Srinivas recently commenced shooting for the Hindi remake of Chatrapathi. The project is bankrolled by Pen Studios and it will be Srinivas’s maiden Bollywood film. He is fully focused on the high-octane actioner which is being directed by VV Vinayak.

Once he is done with the Chatrapathi remake, Bellamkonda Srinivas is likely to take the Telugu remake of Karnan onto the floors. Incidentally, there has been no update on the actioner based on Stuartpuram. And from what we can see, the project has been shelved. Both UV Creations and Bellamkonda Srinivas have moved on with other commitments. We need to wait and see if UV Creations will take interest in the project in the near future and start working on it or scrap the entire prospect.
