Shyam Pushkaran comes yet again with a crime thriller. The film, which was earlier announced as 'Thankam', has started shooting with a new cast. Shyam wrote the script for the film Thankam. Saheed Arafat directs the film Thankam. Working Class Heroes and Bhavana Studios together will produce Thankam. Thankam is a film written by Shyam Pushkaran after Joji.
Thankam was announced in October 2019 with Fahad Fazil and Jojo George in the lead roles. Biju Menon and Vineeth Sreenivasan will replace Fahad and Joju in the lead roles. Vineeth sreenivasan was initially supposed to play the lead role. Fahad's gold team replaced Vineeth's team when Vineeth started shooting for Hridayam.
Bijibal music, Kiran Das editing and Gokul Das does art direction for the film Thankam. The Kerala State Film Awards announced yesterday, Biju Menon grabbed Best Actor. Dileesh Pothen adjudged Best Director, and Gokuldas won Best Art Director. Shyampushkaran adjudged grabbed Best Screenplay Award and Unni Prasad won Best Supporting Actress. and Vineeth Sreenivasan Hridayam selected as the Most Popular Film. All of them were present at the location of Thankam when the awards were announced.
Earlier, Saheed Arafat had said that Thankam would be a film that deviated from Shyam Pushkar's earlier scripts. Saheed Arafat’s first film was Theeram.
