Suriya Sivakumar, better known as Suriya, is India's biggest Indian film star. He is an actor in every sense of the word—an action hero, a love hero, a performance hero, and lot more. He never took his fame for granted and is very deliberate about the decisions he takes with each movie. Even though his movies tend to draw the most attention, he always looks so stylish and cool. He is not only a fantastic actor, but also a handsome man who can compete with anybody and everyone in terms of good looks. He decides to significantly change his looks for each film and manages to start a fashion trend simply by switching up his hair and beard.
In Vaaranam Aayiram, for example, he had to switch between three personas, a college student, an army officer, and a father, and wear various appearances for each. Let me also tell you that young people have started to imitate his character's style as well as his romantic antics. In the 2008 movie, Suriya's washboard abs served as an inspiration for many young people to pursue exercising seriously.
Because he dislikes repetition, he experiments with different personalities, which is fascinating. Again, he underwent a significant transformation for the part of monk in 7aum Arivu, and everyone was in awe of his trim, athletic physique. In Mani Ratnam's film Yuva, he also played a college student and proved that being bald is the new trend. In a society where being bald is still not accepted, he entered and ruled it like a boss with his magnificent bald appearance. We cannot simply move on from it to today. Suriya is 47 today, but it appears like he drank from the fountain of youth, making him dashing all the time.
Finally, it is impossible to not mention Suriya's portrayal of Soorarai Pottru, an idealistic guy who strives to make air transport accessible to everyone. Once more, he had significantly reduced his weight to appear for a disobedient army recruit. His simple plain shirts, cargo trousers, and dark sunglasses showed to us that working-class guys can appear stylish without making a big effort.
Suriya has been referred to as a one-dimensional actor by critics and movie reviewers, yet the Superstar's films and accomplishments speak for themselves. His most recent two films, Soorarai Pottru and Jai Bhim, were nominated for Oscars and received widespread acclaim. Suriya, however, received the finest present just in time for his birthday: his first National Award, and that too for Soorarai Pottru, the year's biggest success.
