Bollywood celebrities Alia Bhatt, Anushka Sharma, and Akshay Kumar raise their voice against animal cruelty in Kerala

A heartbreaking incident is now trending on the internet concerning a pregnant elephant killed by an inhumane crowd.

Bollywood celebrities Alia Bhatt, Anushka Sharma, and Akshay Kumar raise their voice against animal cruelty in Kerala

Since last night various news sources have shared an inhumane incident that took place in Kerala's Palakkad district. A pregnant elephant was fed a pineapple laced with firecrackers which led to its eventual death full of pain and misery. Aside from countless animal lovers on the internet Bollywood celebrities have also voiced their concern surrounding such animal cruelty.
 
Actress Alia Bhatt tweeted out writing, 'Terrible just terrible. We need to be their VOICE and coexist!! Is this meant to be some kind of sick joke?? This is heartbreaking.'
 
Anushka Sharma took to Instagram story and wrote: 'This is why we need harsher LAWS against animal cruelty.
 
Shraddha Kapoor who regularly speaks about animal relief wrote, 'How?????? How can something like this happen??? Do people not have hearts??? My heart has shattered and broken... The perpetrators need to be punished in the STRICTEST way. @PetaIndia @CMOKerala.'
 
Akshay Kumar also tweeted saying, 'Maybe animals are less wild and humans less human. What happened with that #elephant is heartbreaking, inhumane and unacceptable! Strict action should be taken against the culprits. #AllLivesMatter'
 
John Abraham took to Instagram to share various heartbreaking pictures of the dead elephant and wrote, 'Shame on us !!!! Ashamed to be human. #WeAreTheVirus #WildAnimals #SaveAnimals #CrueltyFree #SaveElephants.'
 
Many actors have also tagged ministers on various levels to look into the matter. Extraction action Randeep Hooda tagged Prakash Javadekar and demanded justice. He tweeted writing, 'An act most #inhumane to will fully feed a pineapple full of fire crackers to friendly wild pregnant #Elephant is just unacceptable..strict action should be taken against the culprits sir @vijayanpinarayi @CMOKerala @PrakashJavdekar @moefcc @ntca_india.'
