News channels and media sources are attempting to find more information related to the demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput since Sunday afternoon. It is largely clear that the actor was facing mental health issues. The shocking news about his death has not only rocked all of his friends in Bollywood but has also sparked a row of discussions about mental health.
Actor Deepika Padukone emphasised on the importance of taking mental health seriously on Instagram. As someone who has battled depression herself Padukone wrote, "As a person who has had a lived experience with mental illness, I cannot stress enough about the importance of reaching out. Talk. Communicate. Express. Seek help. Remember, you are not alone. We are in this together. And most importantly, there is hope."
Filmmaker Karan Johar also expressed his grief over the loss of the young actor. Johar wrote, "I have felt at times like you may have needed people to share your life with but somehow I never followed up on that feeling... Will never make that mistake again. We live in very energetic and noisy but still very isolated times some of us succumb to these silences and go within. We need to not just make relationships but also constantly nurture them."
"Sushant's unfortunate demise has been a huge wake up call to me to my level of compassion and to my ability to foster and protect my equations. I hope this resonates with all of you as well... will miss your infectious smile and your bear hug, " he added.
