Megastar Chiranjeevi and director Gunasekhar have teamed up for the films Choodalani Vundi and Mrugaraju. While the former went on to become a blockbuster, the latter failed to become successful at the box office. But both films gave fond memories to the cast, crew, and fans. Earlier today, Gunasekhar's production house Gunaa Teamworks shared a throwback picture from the sets of Mrugaraju. We can see Chiru, Gunasekhar, producers Devi Vara Prasad and Shyam Prasad Reddy in this picture. The vintage photo is now doing rounds on social media.
In the photo, we can see everyone reading the same film magazine. Along with the picture, Gunaa Teamworks captioned, "What’s everyone reading so intently? #Throwback #nostalgia #Megastar Chiru sir, @Gunasekhar1, #DeviVaraPrasad garu and #ShyamPrasadReddy garu." The fans are going a trip down memory lane by looking at this nostalgic photo. They are trending it all over social media.
Devi Vara Prasad had bankrolled Mrugaraju under the banner Devi Film Productions. Simran played the female lead in this movie. It released amidst huge expectations but failed to create any impact at the box office. Narasimha Naidu, which released on the same day, went on to become an industry hit.
Gunasekhar's last directorial venture was the 2015 film Rudhramadevi. Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati and Allu Arjun played the lead roles in it. Gunasekhar is now busy in the pre-production works of his next film Hiranyakasipa. Rana Daggubati will essay the titular role in this movie.
