The process of making a film involves the efforts of many artists coming together. Many daily wage workers, technicians, set boys, junior artists and assistants who rely on making cinema for their daily income are now finding it difficult to survive during the Covid-19 pandemic. All the film shootings are at a halt due to the nationwide imposed 21day lockdown. In such a time, Megastar Chiranjeevi along with his colleagues in Tollywood, came together to form ‘Corona Crisis Charity: CCC’ in order to raise funds for helping people to survive during these difficult times.

This decision is being welcomed with a lot of love from everyone. Actors are already pledging huge sums of money for the same. Director N. Shankar mentioned how this initiative began, to support everyone who depends on films like himself but is not the stars of the show. Chiranjeevi will be leading the charity as Chairman, along with others, Bhardwaj, Suresh Babu, C.Kalyan, Banerjee and Shankar. To kickstart the charity contributions, Chiranjeevi himself and his close friend, actor Nagarjuna have donated Rs. 1 Crore each.

Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Varun Tej, Ravi Teja, Vishwaksen Naidu, Sai Dharam Tej, and Sharwanand soon followed suit, contributing as much as they could. All the actors shared encouraging messages along with their pledges on social media platforms.

The CCC foundation released a song on youtube, urging people to follow the basic precautions for curbing down the virus. Saluri Koteswara Rao, a famous Telugu music director, sang the song. The video features Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Varun tej and Sai Dharam Tej, along with Koti playing the guitar. This initiative has generated a lot of positivity and brought the whole industry together in times of need. With a catchy tune, the video is bound to lift up your spirits, like what the CCC foundation is trying to do for cine workers. Tollywood never fails to put a smile on our faces, despite difficult times.
