Clash At IFFK Over The Screening Of Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam.

Clash at the screening of "Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam," film by Lijo Jose Pellissery. The clash took place at Tagore Theatre, one of the IFFK venues in Trivandrum. The delegates were protesting as they did not get seats, even for the reserved ones. The protestors were arrested and removed by the police.

 
The police arrested two protestors and removed them. Even after booking the tickets, they did not get a chance to watch the movie. The delegates told, "Yesterday, I got the reservation ticket after trying a lot. Even then, after queuing for two hours, when I was about to enter the theater, I was told that the reserved people will not be allowed to enter. Many unreserved people were allowed to enter. It is a courtesy to allow reserved people."
 
There are two Malayalam films in the competition category at the 27th IFFK. One of these is Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam. Another is Kunchacko Boban's Ariyippu. Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam is a film that Malayali people have been waiting to watch for a long time.
 
The film will be screened at IFFK for three days. The screening of the film will be held on the 12th at Tagore Theater at 3.30, on the 13th at 12 noon at Aries Plex, and on the 14th at 9.30 am at Ajanta Theatre. Mammootty himself is producing Mayakam under the banner of Mammootty Kampany. Lijo has also produced the film under the banner of Amen Movie Monastery. Lijo's story is scripted by S. Harish. Theni Eshwar directed the film; Deepu Joseph edited it. Tinu Pappachan was the chief associate director. Gokul Das directed the art; Ronex Xavier did the makeup. Ranganath Ravi designed the sound; and Fazal A. Bakar mixed it.
