Coronavirus pandemic affected 'Jersey' shooting; Shahid Kapoor informs the fans

After 'Batti Gul Metre Chalu' movie in 2018, Bollywood actress Shahid Kapoor has been focusing more on Bollywood remake movies. We already know that Shahid Kapoor recently started in Hindi remake of 'Arjun Reddy' titled as 'Kabir Singh'. Sandeep Vanga himself has helmed this project which became a blockbuster in Bollywood as well. After that, Shahid Kapoor joined hands with Tollywood director Gowtham Tinnanuri and is all set to remake Nani starrer super hit movie 'Jersey' in Hindi. Mrunal Thakur is playing the female lead in this movie. Pankaj Kapur, Mohan Kapoor, Rohan Shah, Sharad Kelkar, Chetna Pande, etc are playing the female leads in this movie. The shooting of the movie is going on at a high pace. But because of the Coronavirus epidemic, the shooting schedule of 'Jersey' also got affected. As per the latest reports, the makers have postponed the shooting of the movie. Shahid Kapoor himself took Twitter to announce the same.

"At a time like this, it is our social responsibility to do everything in our capacity to curb the spread of this virus. Team #Jersey is suspending shoot so as to enable all unit members to be with their families and in the safety of their homes. Be responsible. Stay safe." tweeted Shahid Kapoor. Shahid Kapoor is on a success streak now and that too he is picking up films from South. Interestingly, Shahid wants to make an impressive mark with back to back films. Already, with Kabir Singh, his market went up and let us hope things progress well for Jersey too!
