Dhanush is probably one of the most successful heroes in India in the last decade. From giving hits in Bollywood to stepping into Hollywood, Dhanush did it all and remains one of the leading heroes in Kollywood as well. He was last seen in Karthik Subbaraj's Jagame Thandhiram, which skipped theatrical release and directly streamed on Netflix. The actor is currently in the US shooting for Netflix's The Gray Man. Earlier this year, Dhanush and his brother, director Selvaraghavan, announced that they are reuniting for a film titled Naane Varuven, which marks their fourth collaboration.
On June 23, director Selvaraghavan shared a brand new poster of Naane Varuven and announced that the film's shooting will begin on August 20 this year. Dhanush will be back in Chennai in about two weeks after The Gray Man shoot. Naane Varuven is produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu under his home banner V Creations. Reportedly, Naane Varuven is an action thriller. After this film, the brothers will once again join hands for Aayirathil Oruvan 2, which will release in 2024. Selvaraghavan revealed that the film is high on VFX and hence the long time frame. Dhanush and Selvaraghavan had earlier collaborated for Kadhal Kondein, Pudhupettai and Mayakkam Enna.
