Speaking to The Times of India, Pooja Devariya said, "Post 800, Sethu and I were supposed to work on a Hindi movie, but Vikram came before that. Sethu was the one who put me in touch with Lokesh anna. The first thing Lokesh anna told me was, ‘I have no idea what this is but I’m very excited that you guys are trying something new’. The only thing he stressed was that there should be no shade of Vijay Sethupathi or Bhavani from Master. He is a beast in the movie and the epitome of evil. As an acting coach for Sethu, it is not about telling him what is right or what is wrong. It is more about digging deep and drawing inspiration… It is not about teaching him to act or what to do; it’s more like I’m his actor-friend, who helps him get a different perspective of the character. All three of us - Lokesh, Sethu, and I – shared a great camaraderie. Full credit goes to them for having the willingness to try something like this despite the magnitude of the project."
