Cheran is a popular director in Tamil cinema who is best known for his films like Porkkalam, Vetri Kodi Kattu and Autograph. Recently, his film Thavamai Thavamirunthu got telecasted on the Television. After its telecast, people have praised it unconditionally for its emotional plotline. Meanwhile, Cheran revealed that his upcoming film with
Vijay Sethupathi will be on the lines of Thavamai Thavamirunthu. He also added that it is getting delayed due to some unknown reasons.
A few months back, Cheran announced that he is doing a film with Vijay Sethupathi. But the film didn't go on floors till today. Before anyone asked, Cheran himself gave clarity on its status. After the telecast of Thavamai Thavamirunthu, a user on Twitter appreciated Cheran and his efforts. Replying to him, Cheran thanked for the appreciation. He then said that the screenplay of his film with Vijay Sethupathi will also be on the same lines. He added that it will get connected with all the brothers and sisters out there. But he stated that the film is not going on floors due to some unknown reasons. Cheran opined that only time will tell when it goes on floors.
Cheran's last directorial film was 2019 drama Thirumanam. He has also appeared in the season 3 of Bigg Boss Tamil last year.
Coming to Vijay Sethupathi, he is currently awaiting the releases of his two films, Master and Uppena. She is also busy with many films in hand like Laabam, Kathu Vaakula.
