Vijay Sethupathi played the role of a police officer in director SU Arun Kumar's Sethupathi. The film became a huge hit and even today, Vijay Sethupathi's role in the film is one of his best films and characters he has played so far. We had earlier reported that Vijay Sethupathi has joined hands with director Ponram for a rural entertainer. Director Ponram revealed that his character will be different from what he had played in Sethupathi. The film has been tentatively titled VSP 46 as it marks Vijay Sethupathi's 46th film. The cast and crew of this commercial entertainer will be unveiled once they get finalised.
Director Ponram in an interview with a noted publication said, "We are currently in talks with a few artistes to play character roles. As per the current plan, the shooting will happen in Palani, Theni, Dhanushkodi and Pollachi. His body language will be entirely different from the one that he had in Sethupathi. Unlike last time, his role will have an ample dose of humour as well. The characterisation will be a mix of my style and Makkal Selvan’s style." The team will go on a scheduled break after wrapping up the current schedule.
