Young director Sankalp Reddy made a mark in the industry right with his first film Ghazi. This 2017 film had a simultaneous release in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil. It became a successful venture in all the languages. It also won a national award as well. If the latest grapevine is anything to go by, Sankalp is currently prepping up to direct a film with Bollywood actor Vidyut Jammwal in the lead role.
According to the sources, the story of this movie will revolve around the Indian Air Force. Apparently, it is heavily based on the various real incidents that happened involving the Indian Air Force. Just like Ghazi celebrates the heroics of the Indian Navy, this film will glorify the bravery of the Indian Air Force. It seems that Vidyut will play the role of an Air Force officer in the movie. The sources also added that most of the film will get shot in cities like New Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai. Further details about this movie will get announced soon.
Sankalp Reddy's last directorial film was the 2018 release Anthariksham. Starring Varun Tej in the lead role, this film ended up as a flop at the box office. Recently, Sankalp directed a segment in the upcoming Netflix anthology film. Ami Tumi and Aravinda Sametha's fame Eesha Rebba played the lead role in his story. Nandini Reddy and Tharun Bhascker helmed the other segments of this film. It will stream on the platform very soon.
