The Walt Disney Company seems to have changed their minds about releasing Frozen 2 on Disney Plus. The sequel to the incredibly successful film Frozen will soon be available to stream for all members on Disney Plus. The film is set to release in the streaming network catalogue from March 15.
Bob Chapek, the Chief Executive Officer at the Walt Disney Company spoke of Frozen 2 hitting Disney Plus. He said, "Frozen 2’ has captivated audiences around the world through its powerful themes of perseverance and the importance of family, messages that are incredibly relevant during this time, and we are pleased to be able to share this heartwarming story early with our Disney+ subscribers to enjoy at home on any device."
While the Walt Disney Company hasn't mentioned anything about Coronavirus directly the move seems in relation to the global outbreak. With a majority portion of theatres shut in the USA, Europe, China, and India many films postponed and their shootings halted. Frozen 2 will thrive as families stay at home and need more and more content to keep children busy.
Frozen 2 is incidentally one of the biggest grossing animated films of all time. It is a sequel to the highly successful first film Frozen. The films follow the main characters, Elsa and Anna. Elsa can control ice and Anna is the living sister in the movies always ready to support her sister. The sequel is praise for its well thought out story and impressive visuals.
