Doctor movie producer shares update regarding film release

Sivakarthikeyan has been waiting for the release of his upcoming film, Doctor, which is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Kotapadi J Rajesh of KJR Studios is bankrolling this commercial entertainer. Doctor was slated to release on Ramzan as a festival release. Since the theatres are shut across the country due to the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, the film's release has been postponed indefinitely. Now, producer Rajesh shared a statement regarding Doctor's release.

Rajesh's statement read, "You have been asking us for updates about #Doctor everyday. As a producer, I'm bearing all the financial and material constraints caused by Covid-19 with a fully-ready film in hand. I'm doing everything within my power to get the film the right release. Losing near and dear ones to the second wave on another hand. At a time like this, where nothing is certain, I do not want to talk about something celebratory like #Doctor release. Please understand and oblige. Stay home, take care of your family, respect the regulations. We as a country need to recover to rejoice a release (sic)." Doctor features Sivakarthikeyan, Priyanka Arul Mohan, Vinay Rai, Archana Chandhoke and Deepa in lead roles.
