Dulquer Salmaan was last seen in director Desingh Periyasamy's Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal, which released in early 2020. The film, which also starred Ritu Varma, received overwhelming reviews. In the last few years, Dulquer tested waters in Bollywood as well. He made his debut with Karwaan in which he shared screen space with late Irfan Khan and Mithila Palkar. Though the film received favourable reviews, it failed to translate into box office collection. He then followed it up with Sonam Kapoor's The Zoya Factor, which failed to rake in the moolah. Now, Dulquer is all set to do another Bollywood film.
This time, he has decided to join hands with director R Balki for an edge of the seat thriller. According to multiple reports, the film will go on floors sometime in April. Balki is known for churning out hit films such as Paa, Shamitabh and Padman among others. It will be an interesting combination to see in Bollywood. Meanwhile, Dulquer Salmaan is waiting for the release of his big film Kurup, which is based on the life of Kerala's most-wanted criminal Sukumara Kurup. The film is expected to hit the theatres in a couple of months.
