Mahesh fans who disliked it started spoiling Vijay's image saying that he is a remake star. #RemakeStarVijay is something that they used and posted tweets. Vijay remade a lot of Mahesh's movies in Tamil. Mahesh fans feel that Mahesh gave his best and Vijay spoiled the movies. Vijay fans feel that Vijay gave his best and beat Mahesh.
#DummyStarMaheshBabu and #RemakeStarVijay became the trending topics on Twitter for hours. The irony is that Ajith’s fans lent support to Mahesh Babu fans in this twitter war as Vijay is seen as a competitor to Ajith. Vijay remade ‘Okkadu’ (Ghilli in Tamil) and ‘Pokiri’ (Pokkiri in Tamil). Vijay is currently working on Master, under the direction of Lokesh Kanagaraj.
