The recently released first-look video transports us to a bygone period. We may witness a girl assembling a radio-like equipment in a dimly lit room looking tense and laser-focused. The young girl is none other than Sara Ali Khan in an unseen, non-glamorous persona. Her voice is filled with bravery and determination as she starts speaking on the radio. She broadcasts the independence message to the entire country on her underground radio station. She continues doing this until the constant pounding on the door interrupts her.
Ae Watan Mere Watan, a thriller-drama based on actual events, recounts the daring journey of a Bombay college student. This student later turns into a freedom fighter. This fictitious story takes place in 1942, during the Quit India Movement. It is a tale of the bravery, patriotism, sacrifice, and resourcefulness of the nation's youth.
