Director Gautham Menon has proved his mettle as an actor in his films and also other director's films. The filmmaker has a slew of films, which are at different stages of production. Now, the latest development suggests that Gautham Menon has been roped in to play an important role in Viduthalai, which is being directed by Vetri Maaran. The film features Soori and Vijay Sethupathi in lead roles. Viduthalai is based on popular writer Jeyamohan's novel Thunaivan. Reportedly, Vetri Maaran has completed 70 percent of the film in the forests of Satyamangalam.
Coming back to Gautham Menon, he is reported to be playing the role of a high-ranking police officer. Gautham Menon is said to have completed 10 days of shoot and will be joining the team in the next schedule. While Soori will play a police officer, Vijay Sethupathi will be seen as a mentor in the film. Recently, Soori and Vijay Sethupathi shared the first-look posters of the film. Viduthalai is produced by Elred Kumar of RS Infotainment.
