Hema Shalini Shares Experience Of Riding On Mumbai Metro

Actress and politician, Hema Malini, recently surprised fans when she took the metro and then an auto-rickshaw in Mumbai. Now, as she was spotted at the airport, Hema spoke about the experience and urged other artists from the film industry to follow her example and use the metro to avoid traffic jams.

When asked by paparazzi about her recent metro journey, Hema responded by saying, "As a citizen of Mumbai, we must use the metro. Other artists should also travel by metro to avoid the traffic jam. I liked it. I enjoyed it." She wrote, "I must share with all of you my unique, wonderful experience. Drove 2 hours to reach Dahisar by car, so tiring! In the eve decided I would try the metro, and OMG! What a joy it was! True, we went thro tough times during the constr, but worth it! Clean, fast & ws in Juhu in 1/2 hr (two hearts emoji)." The video of Hema's journey went viral and garnered many comments. One user questioned why she doesn't take the metro every day, while another expressed concern for the daily struggles of the public. However, many praised her humble tone. Hema took to Twitter to share her experience. She mentioned how it takes around two hours to reach Dahisar by car in Mumbai traffic. She found the metro to be a clean, fast and enjoyable way to travel. She even shared a video from inside the metro where she obliged fans with selfies and expressed her pleasure at the experience. Over the last few decades, Hema has acted in numerous Bollywood films, including classics like Sholay (1975) and Satte Pe Satta (1982). She is currently serving as a Member of Parliament for the Bharatiya Janata Party from Mathura.
