The coronavirus pandemic has hit the film industry very hard. All the film industries across the world got severely affected by the outbreak of this virus. All the film productions got stalled and releases are getting postponed. Already, many big films have postponed their releases. Now, production giant Marvel has also decided to push the release dates of its upcoming films. Thus, it has released the new lineup of its upcoming films.
Firstly, Scarlett Johansson starred Black Widow is actually supposed to hit the screens in April this year. But now, it got postponed to November 6, 2020. After Black Widow, Marvel will release Eternals on February 12, 2021. It was actually supposed to hit the screens on November 6th year. Another superhero film Shang Chi will release on May 7th, 2021. It was previously slated for the release on February 12, 2021.
Much-anticipated Doctor Strange 2 will get released on November 5th, 2021. This film features Benedict Cumberbatch in the lead role. Chris Hemsworth starred Thor: Love and Thunder will now release on February 28th, 2022. Super successful Black Panther is also getting a sequel. This sequel will release on May 8th, 2022. One of the biggest earners of 2019 was Captain Marvel. The sequel of this film is also on cards. Captain Marvel 2 will hit the theatres on July 8th, 2022.
Thus, the release line up of the films for the next two years got fixed by Marvel. There will be no changes as of now until or unless there will be any unforeseen circumstances.
