The release of Prithviraj's new film Kaduva continues to be in crisis. The High Court clarified that it cannot interfere with the single bench order to Censor Board to examine the film. The court informed that it will not interfere in the appeal filed by the makers. This was against the order in the petition filed by Jose Kuruvinakunnel against the film. The case was heard by a bench comprising Justices K Vinod Chandran and C Jayachandran. The court asked what was wrong with the judgment of the single bench. The Division Bench observed that no error could be pointed out therein. The petition will be taken up later for further argument. Meanwhile, the single bench has directed the Censor Board to hear the complaint of Jose Kuruvinakunnel on Monday.
Jose Kuruvinakunnel complained that the film contains scenes that insult him and his family. The High Court has directed the Censor Board to look into this. Mahesh, a native of Tamil Nadu, has also approached the court alleging that the script of Kaduva was stolen. The controversy that arose after the completion of the shoot has now affected the release of the film as well.
Meanwhile, the release of the film directed by Shaji Kailas starring Prithviraj has been postponed. The film, which is scheduled to release on June 30, will hit the theatres on July 7. Prithviraj himself announced through social media that the release of Kaduva is being postponed to next week. He added that it is due to some unforeseen circumstances.
