Popular Hollywood star Hugh Jackman has shut down his cafe for a short period due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus and the city officials have sent orders of lockdown. This came as a big surprise to everyone. Many of them welcomed this decision and in times of crisis, some safety measures are compulsory.
New York Mayor Bill de Blasio ordered that all the restaurants, cafes, and bars should get shut down from Tuesday (March 17). On this note, Hugh also announced that his Laughing Man establishment will also be in lockdown for a few days. Hugh took to his Instagram profile and has confirmed the same.
“We have made the decision to temporarily close the @laughingmancafe. We feel this is the best course of action to ensure the safety of our staff and community. We also feel it is the right thing for the larger community of NYC. We want to be a place of healthy interaction and not a potential danger to you. This is a time when we find new depths to our motto ALL BE HAPPY and hope, more than ever, for it to help guide humanity" wrote Hugh on Instagram.
"While it pains us not to serve you, person, to person, we will look for other ways to serve you during this time. Let us take care of each other the best we can. We wish the whole world health, peace, patience, and love.” added Hugh who looks forward to re-open the cafe once everything comes into control.
