Recently, Vijay Deverakonda’s name has been doing rounds on social media and it is said that he will be stepping into Prithviraj Sukumaran’s role for the film. In the original, Prithviraj plays an underworld don kind of role who can go to any extent to save the life of Lucifer. Also, some news-based portals have written he was approached for the role played by Tovino Thomas as well.

But sources have said that he is not part of the film. Yes. The actor has not been approached for neither of the roles, and even if he gets a chance, Vijay might not be able to do it because he is super busy with his upcoming film.
Vijay is completely busy with Puri Jagannadh’s upcoming film which is tentatively titled Fighter. This film is being made in several languages and will mark the Bollywood debut of Vijay. Ananya Panday is the leading lady of the film.
Lucifer remake will be directed by Sujeeth Reddy, and will have Megastar Chiranjeevi stepping into the shoes of Mohanlal. Ram Charan has bought the remake rights of the film and it will be bankrolled under Konidela Production Company.
There have been a lot of rumours on who is going to be stepping into the shoes of Manju Warrier. Names of Suhaasini Mani Ratnam, Khushbu, and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar have been surfaced. An official confirmation on the same is awaited. The film is yet to go on floors and undoubtedly, it is not going to happen this year at all.
