It Is Not Because Of Me, Ranbir Kapoor Says In Response To Brahmastra And Sanju's Massive Debuts

Brahmastra, directed by Ayan Mukerji and starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, is performing exceptionally well at the movie office. The Kashmir Files was the first Hindi-language film to do so this year; this one became the second to surpass the enormous Rs. 200 cr. nett mark. The movie still has a lot of momentum left in terms of the box office, and on the fifteenth day of its run, thanks to discounted ticket prices in honor of National Cinema Day, it is believed to have exceeded its best single-day footfalls. National Cinema Day will be celebrated by the largest multiplex chains in India by offering movie tickets for just Rs. 75 on that particular day.

Ranbir Kapoor was reminded by the interviewer in a discussion with the team of Brahmastra that he is the third person on the list of actors in Bollywood films to have surpassed the Rs. 30 cr nett figure the most number of times, with a total of 6 following Brahmastra's first weekend. Ranbir Kapoor had a very humble response to the statistics that were presented to him.

"I will very humbly and gladly accept this superficial compliment that I have done it. But before signing these two films (Brahmastra and Sanju), I have that much sense that when I was doing Sanju, it was a Rajkumar Hirani film; It was a biopic on Sanjay Dutt. That's really a star-proof, actor-proof set-up. Then I was doing a film called Brahmastra, which is a fantasy, larger-than-life trilogy directed by Ayan, which had Alia, which had Alia and my pairing, Nag sir.. it had so much going for it. So I really don't attribute these opening numbers to myself. We live in an industry where lot of these tags are given every week and every week, these records are broken. But I have that much sense that it's not because of me", he replied. When Ranbir was called humble, the actor responded by saying that it is true and that he cannot be held solely responsible for the success of his films.

In addition to Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, Brahmastra also stars Mouni Roy, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Amitabh Bachchan, and Shah Rukh Khan. Next year, Ranbir will appear in Luv Ranjan's unnamed romantic comedy alongside Shraddha Kapoor and Sandeep Reddy Wanga's Animal alongside Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Rashmika Mandanna. Alia Bhatt will appear in Heart of Stone alongside Gal Gadot and Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani starring Ranveer Singh.
