'Joker' gets 11 nominations at BAFTA, another two popular films 10 each

Joker' followed by 'The Irishman' and 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood' with 10 nominations each. The three films will compete with '1917' and 'Parasite' in the Best Film category which got top honors at the 'Golden Globe' International awards.
Immersive World War One drama 1917 got nine nominations. The movie, which uses a long-shot format to follow two young British soldiers sent on a mission across enemy lines, triumphed at Sunday’s Golden Globes ceremony where it picked up best drama and best director for Briton Sam Mendes.
