Jr. NTR and Balakrishna turned down the offer of playing Sr. NTR's role in Jayalalitha's biopic Thalaivi

We are already aware that a biopic is being made on the life of actress turned politician Jayalalitha. Titled Thalaivi, this film features Kangana Ranaut in the lead role. Directed by AL Vijay, this film is currently in the midway of its shoot. There is the role of Sr. NTR in the film, which comes at a crucial juncture. Apparently, both Jr NTR and Balakrishna got approached to do that role. But we hear that both the actors have rejected this offer.

According to the sources, NTR's role comes at a crucial point in the film. NTR played an important role in the acting career of Jayalalitha. They both have acted in many films together. Thus, the makers thought of signing up a star actor for this role. Thus, they have approached both Jr. NTR and Balayya. Unfortunately, all their attempts failed as the Nandamuri actors denied to do the role. The reasons for their denial remain to be unknown. Now, they are hunting for another suitable actor for this film.

Jr. NTR was earlier offered to do the same role in Keerthy Suresh's Mahanati. He rejected the offer at that time as well. On the other hand, Balakrishna acted as the lead in the biopic of NTR.

Thalaivi also features Aravind Swamy in the role of MG Ramachandran and Jisshu Sengupta in the role of Shoban Babu. The team is planning to release the film on June 26th, 2020. It is being bankrolled by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Sailesh R Singh.
