Actor and politician Kamal Haasan has tested positive for COvid-19. He has been admitted to Sri Ramachandra Hospital in Chennai.

Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan is the latest celebrity to have tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Recently, the actor returned from Chicago, US, after launching his clothing line, KH House of Khaddar. After his return, he developed a slight couple. When he got tested for Covid-19, his results turned out to be positive. In his tweet in Tamil, Kamal Haasan said, "After my return from the US, I developed a slight cough. My Cpvid-19 test results turned out to be positive. I have now isolated myself at a hospital. people should understand that the pandemic is not over yet and be safe." Kamal got admitted to Sri Ramachandra Hospital in Chennai.

 
A statement from the hospital read, "Sri Kamal Haasan, is admitted in SRMC for the complaints of lower respiratory tract infection and fever. He was tested COVID positive. He is on medical management and his condition is stable." Knowing about Kamal's hospitalization, his best friend Superstar Rajinikanth spoke to him over a phone call and wished him a speedy recovery. The actor returned from the US and even hosted the Sunday episode of Bigg Boss Tamil Season 5. Now, it is unclear if he will host the remaining episodes of the reality show.
