Director Shankar and actor Kamal Haasan are presently filming "Indian 2." The sequel of the epic film is much awaited by the fans. After that, the actor was slated to begin production on his movie with Mahesh Narayan. The Mahesh Narayanan directorial was advertised as the prequel to "Thevar Magan." The movie's script is written by Kamal Haasan. He also before said that filming will begin at the end of this year.
According to current sources, the movie has reportedly been shelved. Also, it is claimed that the actor and the director mutually agreed upon the decision. Mahesh Narayanan was the editor for "Vishwaroopam" and "Vishwaroopam 2". Mahesh Narayan previously collaborated with Kamal Haasan in these two projects.
Kamal Haasan indicated a wish to work with Mahesh Narayan as an actor. It was after the release of the Malayalam movie "Malik" starring Fahadh Faasil.
Thevar Magan was intended to be continued in the untitled movie as the second part. It has reportedly been postponed or dropped now. The reason for the delay is because of artistic disputes.
After wrapping up "Indian 2," Kamal Haasan will begin production on his project with Mani Ratnam. The Kamal Haasan - Mani Ratnam film has the working title "KH 234."
