Kannada Actress Chethana Raj Dies Due To Botched Plastic Surgery

Kannada actress Chethana Raj, who appeared in television shows Doresani and Geeta, breathed her last on May 16 at a private hospital in Bengaluru. She had gotten herself admitted at Shetty's Cosmetic Centre in Rajaji Nagar. According to her uncle, someone had told Chethana that she needed to lose weight as she appeared fat. So, Chethana, without informing her parents got admitted to the hospital with her friends by her side. However, after the surgery, she developed complications as water accumulated in her lungs. Since the cosmetic center is not equipped with ICU, they could not attend to her. She was found in an unresponsive state after which she was rushed to Kaade hospital at 5.30 pm.

According to doctors at Kaade Hospital, the anesthetist and doctors from Shetty's clinic threatened them to treat her as a patient who suffered a cardiac arrest. They have also filed a complaint against Shetty's Cosmetic Center. Chethana's parents accused the doctors of negligence and filed a complaint against them. Chethana Raj was declared 'brought dead' at 6.45 pm. Her colleagues from the television film industry were shocked to hear about this demise.
