Filmmaker Karan Johar has addressed the rumours that actor-couple Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani inked a three-film pact with his Dharma Productions. According to a recent article, Karan denied the rumours.
Several sources suggested that Karan entered into a contract with the couple after Sidharth and Kiara Advani got married earlier this month. As of now, none of the actors have responded to the reports.
When asked about the project by Times of India, Karan responded, "Not at all." Kiara and Sidharth Malhotra have only collaborated on one movie so far. It is the war biopic Shershaah (2021), which is based on the life of Vikram Batra. The movie was made by Dharma Productions and Kaash Entertainment under the direction of Vishnuvardhan. Sidharth played dual characters, and Kiara played his lover.
On February 7, Sidharth and Kiara exchanged vows at Jaisalmer's Suryagarh Palace. The couple took a flight to Delhi after their wedding. On February 9, they held a wedding event in Delhi for their close friends and relatives. On December 12, they held another reception for members of the film industry in Mumbai.
On the day of the wedding, Karan, who attended the celebrations, posted a message to the newlyweds on Instagram. Karan captioned a photo of the couple,
The upcoming love drama Rocky aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani marks Karan's return to directing. The lead characters are Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, and Dharmendra. The film will be released in theatres on July 28, this year.
