The Matrix 4 is in the cards and it is not only the fans who are eager for it. Keanu Reeves revealed how excited he is for the fourth installment in the Matrix series. Reeves played the character Neo in the science fiction action film along with Carrie-Anne Moss who starred as Trinity. We will be seeing them again as they reprise their roles. He gave a teaser for the film saying it has a beautiful script and a wonderful storyline. He opened up about his choice for returning to the series and much more regarding the behind the scenes of the film.
He said, "Lana Wachowski wrote a beautiful script and a wonderful story that resonated with me. That's the only reason to do it. To work with her again is just amazing," It's been really special, and the story has, I think, some meaningful things to say, and that we can take some nourishment from,". Even co-star Carrie-Anne Moss admitted that, "I never thought that it would happen. It was never on my radar at all."
She continued, "When it was brought to me in the way that it was brought to me, with incredible depth and all of the integrity and artistry that you could imagine, I was like, This is a gift. It was just very exciting," the first film in the series released back in 1999 and has been the talk of the town till date. Its sequel titled The Matrix Reloaded released in 2003 followed by the third installment titled The Matrix Revolutions in the same year. Matrix 4 is being directed by Lana Wachowski and its release is set in 2021.
