This year’s Onam will be celebrated in theatres. "Palthu Janvar" has reached on-line release today. Other films hitting the theatres on Thiruvonam Day are "Pathonpatham Noottandu” and "Oru Thekkan Thallu Case”. The new news is that Kunchacko Boban's film "Ottu" will also be coming to add colour to the Onam celebrations.
The film was announced to be released on September 2 through OTT. However, due to reasons related to the Tamil release of the bilingual film 'Ottu', the date was changed. Director TP Fellini announced this through social media. “It was a long journey. As a team we have given blood and juice for this film. This is a big budget film. We are expecting the audience in all parts of the country. This release change was made because we felt that nothing should be overlooked,” TP Fellini wrote. The director informed that the film is expected to hit the theatres all over the world on the same day soon and the new release date will be announced soon. Mammootty has now released a new poster of the film, announcing that 'Ottu' will release on September 2.
The film will hit theatres in Tamil with the title "Randakam." The film is produced by movie star Arya under the banner of "The Show People" and Shaji Natesan under the banner of "August Cinemas. "Ottu" is Arvind Swamy's return to Malayalam after twenty-five years. Jackie Shroff is another lead actor in the film. The screenplay for the thriller-themed film was written by S. Sanjeev.
