Mammootty is once again teaming up with a new director. Kerala Kaumudi reports that Mammootty will play the lead role in a film directed by the famous young cinematographer Robby Varghese Raj.
According to the report, Mammootty will play the role of a policeman in the film. The Robby-Mammooty film will be the third film produced by Mammootty company. Robbie Varghese Raj is a cinematographer for many films.
Robby has directed the cinematography for Mammootty-starrer The Great Father. Other films in which Robbie has done cinematography include Captain, Vaalal, and Love Action Drama.
Mammootty is currently acting in a film directed by B. Unnikrishnan. Reportedly, Mammootty is also playing the role of a policeman in the film, which is scripted by Udaya Krishna.
The shoot of the film, which is being prepared in the thriller category, is progressing in Ernakulam. There were also reports that the Tamil superstar would play Mammootty's villain in the yet-to-be-titled film.
Udaykrishna is writing the screenplay for the film. The film has three heroines namely Sneha, Amala Paul and Aishwarya Lakshmi. Other characters are played by Shine Tom Chacko, Dileesh Pothan, Siddique and Jinu Abraham.
On the other hand, Mammootty films that have completed shooting are Lijo Jose Pellissery's Nanpakal Nerethu Mayakam and Nizam Basheer's Rorshach. After Bhishma Parvam, the shooting of Amal Neerad's Bilal is yet to begin.
