Meera Mithun Arrested By Police After Hate Speech Against Dalits

Last week, Kollywood actress and model Meera Mithun stirred up a hornet's nest after a video of hers went viral on social media for all the wrong reasons. In the video, she can be seen hurling abuses against people belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST). After her speech went viral, many netizens called her out for her insensitive speech against Dalits. Vanni Arasu is the leader of Viduthalai Siruthaigal Katchi. A case was then registered and she was booked under seven suctions 153, 153A(1)(a), 505(1)(b), 505 (2) of IPC, and several sections under the SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act.

Days after she had been booked, Meera Mithun was arrested by the crime branch in Kerala. A few days ago, she posted a video on her YouTube page in which she claimed that she hails from a royal family and no one will arrest her. When the cops landed in her hotel room in Kerala, she created ruckus saying that the cops hare harassing her. She also appealed to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She screamed and shouted saying she will kill herself f the cops laid hands on her.
