Mira Rajput shares Rega Jha's letter to Indian parents amid the boys locker room incident

In the previous week a huge outburst has emerged when social media revealed various cases of teenage boys objectifying women's bodies. The admin of the group who is just a boy of 15-16 years also speaks about raping another girl in the chats. While authorities are now involved with the entire case many celebrities have also shared their opinions on the harrowing incident.

Shahid Kapoor's wife Mira Rajput has also taken to social media to share an old essay written by journalist Rega Jha. In the essay, Rega urges Indian parents to teach their sons the value of gender equality, consent, and respect. Rega also emphasises that boys must learn that they are not entitled to women's bodies.

Rajput also shared a part of the essay on her social media. The thread also highlights how young women take the blunt of such incidents. Parents of these girls force them to be more modest and fear boys instead of teaching the boys.

In her original Rega Jha took to her Instagram and captioned it writing, 'Excerpts from an essay I wrote for BuzzFeed three years ago when I was 25 and, it seems, a more articulate feminist. Been trying to find the right words all week, and it turns out I used to have (some of) them.'

Other actors like Siddhant Chaturvedi and Richa Chadha have also shared their opinions on the incident. Chaddha recently wrote, 'This a multi-faceted problem. Because everyone is still squeamish about sex education in our populous/moralistic country, teenagers are confusing porn for sex education! And now data is free. How dangerous! This will explode in our faces in the next five years sadly, I reckon.'
